The Appeal
If you want a new Defender, forget the £100,000 luxury SUV currently sold under the name, good as it no doubt is. You want this. But it’s 10 years old, we hear you say. Except, it isn’t really: in 2025, it received a comprehensive restoration on a new Marsland galvanised chassis that delivers a virtually new late-model Puma.
The restoration cleverly retains the originality, including the desirable Keswick Green 110 Utility Pick Up body, but renewed virtually everything else. Suspension, brakes, running gear and even interior trim were refurbished at considerable cost.
All of this is before we mention that its single registered keeper has covered less than 63,000 miles in it from new. Then there is that practical four-door, pick-up body style that is surely one of the most versatile of the many classic Defender options.
This is a really good example of the final, improved ‘Puma’, and it comes with the added reassurance of a long, advisory-free MOT. It’s perfect for commercial use or family trips.
The vendor says:
“With its new bushes and running gear the vehicle drives and behaves like new, with firm handling and sure-footed road holding.”
