The Appeal

The 300TDi-powered Defender 110 County Station Wagon is widely regarded as one of the most capable and desirable iterations of Land Rover's legendary workhorse. The 300TDi engine brought improved refinement and reliability over its predecessors while remaining devoid of complex electronics, and the 110 County Station Wagon body offers genuine versatility for overlanding, family duties, or simply roaming the countryside.

This Niagara Grey example, first registered in November 1995, has had just one former registered keeper: an Essex garden centre that kept it for 17 years, before passing to its current custodian in Northern Ireland in February 2012. Over 14 years of careful stewardship, the vehicle has been serviced every 1,500 miles and entrusted to respected Land Rover specialists BLRC and Beyond Performance 4x4, with a thorough approach to preventative and remedial maintenance.

The Defender has been thoughtfully modified for off-road capability and practicality, with upgrades including a Rhino winch, Patriot roof rack, Terrafirma suspension components, galvanised rock sliders, and a Raptor Engineering dashboard. Every modification is documented with wiring diagrams, and all original parts have been retained, meaning the vehicle can be returned to stock specification should the new owner wish.

Recent work includes replacement front outriggers, a full service, chassis rustproofing and remedial welding, culminating in an MOT pass with no advisories in June 2026. The vendor reports that the bulkhead, A pillars and footwells are free from corrosion. While the original paintwork shows some age-related blistering typical of Defenders of this vintage, this is nevertheless a very good example that presents well for its three decades.
