I've decided to reduce my collection of cars, so my stunning and rare Peugeot 406 V6 3. 0 24v (quad cam) estate is offered for sale. It has just passed its MoT first time, with zero advisories, so this is valid until June 2019.
It is in the most incredible colour (Rouge Volcane metallic) with full black leather interior and every luxury appointment you could ever wish for, including;
Working ice cold air conditioning.
Electric sunroof.
Heated and electrically adjustable seats.
Electrically retractable and electrically adjustable mirrors.
Autochromatic self-dimming rear view mirror.
Electric windows all-round.
Remote control central locking.
Incredible factory-fitted sound system with 6 CD autochanger and tape / plug your smartphone in facility.
Power-assisted-steering.
Multiple airbags, including side airbags in front seats.
Of course this car's most unique feature is that incredible 210bhp quad-cam 24v V6 3. 0 litre engine. This transforms a humble 406 estate into a very rapid car, with effortless performance in all situations and an incredible soundtrack. The engine performs exactly as it should, with no misfires and does not use any oil or coolant. It always starts first time and does not smoke at all. The performance is superb and yet I can achieve nearly 30mpg with normal driving.
The automatic gearbox makes every journey a joy and the gear changes are imperceptible; again, this works exactly as it should. Steering is precise and there are no knocks or untoward noises and the brakes are extremely powerful and again work exactly as they should. This is an extremely competent car and performs as it would have done when first registered 18 years ago; best of all (and unlike most modern cars) the ride is extremely comfortable and not too firm, yet it corners brilliantly. In my opinion, this is the last of the reliable and well-engineered Peugeots.
My favourite feature of the car is the supremely comfortable leather seats. They are wonderfully soft and supportive, with soft centre armrests to both front seats (not sure why every car doesn't have these) and every journey is an absolute pleasure. You will always look forward to driving this car.
I've just had the car polished professionally, which took several days and cost me £250. It has an amazing deep lustre to the metallic paintwork and is highly reflective (apologies for all the reflections in the photographs). The car has two new front tyres.
I'm happy to take any perspective purchaser out on an extensive test drive, as this car has nothing to hide and I know anyone not familiar with these luxurious and capable Peugeots will be converted after one drive. They are, in my opinion, incredibly underated cars and nothing I know of can combine performance, comfort, reliability and value-for-money in such an alluring package. The car has more luxuries than my Jaguar XJR from the same year and of course is far more practical, with the enormous rear load bay.
I am only selling this and several other cars I own due to imminent loss of storage and a need to rationalise my collection of 44 cars and I'm keen for it to go to someone who will cherish it, as it's an excellent example with everything working, will drive you anywhere and is rust-free. If kept in this condition, it will be a very valuable car in years to come. It is in the low tax band too, so inexpensive to tax every year.
