Here we have for sale, new in at the Bike Specialists, another excellent investment opportunity. The Massimo Tamburini designed Ducati 916 is probably the most influential motorcycle design of the last 30 years and our example is a unique and rare 916 RS Race bike with a 955 factory race engine that was supplied to the race teams for the 1996/ 97 season.. An email from Ducati confirms the authenticity that the frame and engine numbers are genuine 955 race stock.
Just 28 examples (some say 26) were produced and our bike has been totally rebuilt by JHP in Coventry, stripped to the frame, cleaned and rebuilt using as much of the original parts as possible. The paintwork was in excellent condition so was left original. The bike has never been raced, only tested twice by the previous owner before being rebuilt and then placed in dry storage.
