1973/ L JENSEN INTERCEPTOR 3 –
A wonderful example of British engineering paired with American muscle!
This particular example was supplied on the 4th of January 1973 to the first of 6 owners in total. Interestingly the vehicle was originally registered on the registration number “BUF 71” which remained with the vehicle until 2008 when it was removed and the age related plate “VHJ545L” was applied. This is apparent when looking through the vehicles extensive history file which includes the original “green” hand written log book, various MOT documents and more importantly copies of the vehicles original build, quality control, end of line, and road test sheets undertaken by the factory in late 1972.
The vehicles quality itself is very very good. Essentially there is no concern with the vehicles structure. The underside is both completely solid and seemingly largely original. Records show that the vehicle was originally “Brazillia” brown when it left the factory in 1972 before being subjected to a colour change in the mid 2000’s when the vehicle was restored. Other than the obvious colour change – the rest of the restoration was very much sympathetic with many original features being retained. the first of which being the interior. All of the leather is “as supplied” in 1973. The only notable change is the fitment of a Moto-lita steering wheel however the original wheel is also supplied with the vehicle.
The engine bay is also largely original with the only notable changes being a new Edelbrock carburettor and a high Torque starter motor.
This is a Interceptor that presents extremely well twinned with the document to suggest the mileage is correct at just 33, 657.
This is a vehicle that is known and has been worked on by specialists such as “Rejen” and “Richard Appleyard Engineering” for all of its recent servicing and maintenance meaning that this is a vehicle that you can purchase with confidence.
