Exterior
This incredible Yamaha RD350 LC is a genuine UK 4L0 1982 model finished Black and affectionately known as the 'Mars Bar' colours scheme. The early twin stripe decals soon replaced by the three stripes of later models are original and pristine. All original control switch gear is in immaculate order. The exterior has all original stunning paintwork and decals throughout, the original seat is immaculate with no rips or tears. The frame and swing arm have been powder coated black the rest of this incredible machine is 99% original. A collectors dream...
Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
This stunning RD350 LC remains fitted with the stylish cast-alloy wheels with black detailing and polished edging and are in fantastic original and unrestored condition with only minor patina visible under close inspection. The matching Bridgestone correct size fitment tyres are as new condition. Standard hydraulic 270mm twin front disc brakes and rear drum are fitted and operate perfectly.
Engine & Transmission
This matching numbers tie bar model 2-stroke liquid cooled parallel twin has a displacement of 347cc and produces 47bhp at 8, 500rpm. Collectors and enthusiasts a like will be amazed at this truely lovely bike. To ride she pulls beautifully on the standard Mikuni twin carbs and the 6 speed gearbox and clutch operate with ease. The engine is detail cleaned and to show standard.
Summary
This incredible 1981 model year twin stripe Yamaha RD350LC was registered in the UK by a Yamaha Main Dealer on 7th May 1982. This matching numbers machine with only 3 previous owners is show standard and 99% original and has to be seen. Its understood that the bike was kept unused for 20 years in dry storage until 2005 when it was recomissioned and MOT'd showing 2949 miles. The MOT history to date is flawless passing every MOT and now showing only 7950 miles.

The original LC is a machine with a real cult status and for many good reasons. Its radical styling and technological advancements meant it led the pack from the first turning of a wheel. Easily able to out fox machinery many times it capacity, and power, with a combination of stunning acceleration and sharp handling, the LC quickly built a reputation as the street-racer to be on.
Now thought of as a legend, the production run was a short one, the LC getting a brief period in the spotlight before an all-new power valve equipped model was released during the latter part of 1982.
These original short production run Elsie's are very desirable and original immaculate examples such as this are a rare find.
