Description
1983 Yamaha TT600 – Extensively Restored
A superbly presented early Yamaha TT600, dating from the model's launch year of 1983 and restored to a very high standard.
Powered by Yamaha's muscular 595cc air-cooled four-valve single, the TT600 was one of the landmark big-bore four-stroke off-road motorcycles of the early 1980s, combining strong low-down torque with long-travel suspension, lightweight construction and Yamaha's Monocross rear suspension.
As the photographs show, this example presents extremely well in its striking white and red period-style colour scheme, with red frame and fork gaiters, alloy swingarm, spoked wheels, substantial off-road tyres and an aftermarket Cobra exhaust.
The odometer currently displays approximately 3, 525 miles, although this is not warranted unless supported by accompanying history.
The motorcycle has a V5, but is not currently registered/ set up for road use and is being offered primarily as an off-road/ collector motorcycle.
A very attractive early TT600 and a great example of Yamaha's classic 1980s big-bore enduro era.
Sold as seen as part of a private collection. Although presented in excellent condition, we recommend a full service, recommissioning and safety inspection prior to use.
