1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 400 with TH350 Auto Transmission. Smokey and the Bandit movie styled Trans-Am in Starlight Black with Gold Firebird and decals, red bucket seats, Glass T-Tops and refurbished Snowflake alloys with new Cooper Cobra tyres. Optioned with the K code Olds 403 6. 6 V8. Factory Power Steering, Front Power Disc Brakes and Electric Windows.
A rust free ex-Californian car only imported into the UK in 2015 and the following year sent to marque specialist Auto-Pontiac. Work included all new front suspension and new body to chassis bushes and the removal of its A/ C and emissions system, engine set-up and tune. The A/ C while removed does come with it. Invoices for around £4000 are with it along with a copy of its California Title, original Firebird Handbook, Warranty certificate, T-Top storage bags, spare wheel and 2 sets of keys. It further benifits from the recent replacement of the auto box, starter motor and exhaust system. Whilst the recorded mileage shows 12770 we are not able to verify its true mileage. Will be supplied with a new MOT at point of sale. Tax is still payable but both tax and MOT will becomes exempt from April next year.
This is without doubt the best driving Trans Am we have had to date (see the video) and one that presents in great condition throughout. A wonderful way to pay tribute to the great Burt Reynolds and the Smokey and the Bandit movies!! One of only a very few Bandit styled cars currently available and early viewing is recommended.
