Description
Built on the 27th November 1961. This version of the Austin Healey 3000 MKII Tri-carb is the rarest of all the production Healeys with only a total 355 produced worldwide making these rarer than the 100/ 4 Factory 100M models. This car was one of the very first 2-seaters fitted with the improved centre change gearbox making this vehicle one of 150 cars.
With sales for the MKII 4-seater BT7 versions well exceeding 2 seater BN7 models, 2 seater production ceased in March 1962. All future production models were of 2+2 configuration. This 2 seater version of the 3000 MKII is a highly desirable long term investment with fully restored cars fetching high prices at auction.
This car is fully matching numbers. Chassis number, body number, engine number, gearbox number, rear axle number, key number and instrument numbers all match and is being restored to its Heritage Certificate specification using all the cars original components where possible. Currently being restored to its original LHD specification, this car can be completed RHD at the buyers request at no additional cost.
This car comes complete with a full detailed photographic record of the completed restoration process, original Austin Healey 3000 MKII tool kit, BMC supplimentary tool kit, spare key, drivers handbook and a full 12month JME Warranty from date of purchase.
