very rare Mazda 323 FA4 , OHC , Petrol, manual Phase 1. Also perhaps known as a GLC in the usa and i think the familia Ap on the JDM market
Celebrating it's 41st birthday this year - Possibly the only one for sale in Europe, Ideal race Car , Drift Car , old timer , Wedding or Film car
This car drives is on the road with a French Control Technique which is still in date so it can be road driven.
The kilometres are little evolutive as i take it out only the odd sunday for fun. The Car was one family owned from new in South West France.
The chassis could be described as rust free, there will be a blemish here and there naturally
on the downside the elderly gentleman and his wife over the years has managed to leave a 'supermarket dent' or scratch - probably every panel of the car.
They no longer drive..
Its 100% complete and original and basically it only needs a weekend in a body shop to give it a respray - unless a slight rat look car is your thing,
The interior is impeccable and original Tartan.
Very popular cars in Australia and New Zealand as they will accept a Rotary engine straight up to make an 8 second drag car. worth a look on Youtube...
I had at one stage notions of fitting the 230Hp running gear from a Mazda RX8 and have some fun. Its easy to find RX8 running gear cheaply.
Very cute sleeper car and refreshingly different with its frog eye lights,
it comes from the 70s/ 80s Era of the Escort mk2 and mk1 the Ae86 corolla kp60 starlet , Datsun and other rear wheel drive hits .
lightweight and fun handling and certainly does not feel the best part of 40 years old ,
The little OHC engine drones along nicely on its manual gearbox , runs on the smell of petrol - one could probably daily drive this car.
Could in theory accept any engine you want really.
B16A , YB cosworth , 4AGE, 13b or 12b , Volvo t5 , CA18 , SR20, Pinto , m3 , 944T even an electric Motor or even a powerful new gen turbo diesel..
Last service was in February and had oil and filter, Plugs and points, rear brake shoes , new waterpump and fanbelt,
The only downside is tatty bodywork to be honest .
Starts well runs well and quietly ,
