The motor car is truly unique and is in Concours condition having been used sparingly and garaged from new, the interior is unmarked and the exterior just has a few very minor touched in stone chips. It really is a time warp example probably in better condition than new, especially the detailed engine bay. Starts instantly and is ready to drive anywhere, M. O. T. tested until 2nd September 2020 with No Advisories, Road Taxed, 12 months is £265. Full Book Pack including Manual and Folder, tool roll and a folder of receipts, it has recently had a new stainless steel rear exhaust silencer fitted with lifetime guarantee. The injected 2490cc straight six engine pulls well and sounds lovely and the ride quality is superb. These Senators are getting very rare now, especially in this condition and specification, they are very useable and were ahead of their time, this example could be entered into any concours event, put in a museum or used as every day transport. A number of spares are included, mainly for the braking system. A new windscreen has been installed and another is included as a spare due to their rarity.

These Senators had a very high standard specification for their time, this example even has a metal sliding sunshine roof, unique alloy wheels, front fog lights, central locking and alarm, electric heated door mirrors, heated rear window and headlamp wash with wipers. Manufactured in Germany to a very high standard, the doors close with satisfying precision.
The original Senator was facelifted in November 1982 and became known as the A2 which went on sale in March 1983. In the United Kingdom, it was initially sold only as an Opel, before being rebadged as a Vauxhall in 1984 so this example was only really available for one and a half years.
This rare Senator would be the perfect example to show and participate with the AutobahnStormers club as well as attending other events such as with the Vauxhall Bedford Opel Association.
We entered the A2 into the VSCC Petwood Concours d’ Elegance this August and were honoured to receive First in Class with a free entry to the Masterclass next August, a photograph is shown above.
This Motor Car can be viewed by prior appointment at the owners house in Boston in Lincolnshire, it has been enthusiast owned and sits next to his Bentley, any inspection is invited.
