Description
This is my own car and has gone through an extensive restoration over the past 2 years of ownership. It is garaged over the winter months so I have plenty of time to get jobs done (the complete list of work detailed below).
I now have a different job (to that which I had when I bought the MR2) which involves driving 400+ miles per week, this has somewhat taken the fun out of driving and as a result my MR2 does not get used very often at all, as a result I have decided to sell my MR2 and let somebody else enjoy her.
I looked at many Mk3 MR2s all over the UK before buying this one, many were tatty and in need of lots of work, this one was already good but the work I have done on it has taken it from good to "like new" inside and out.
Exterior
Sable Grey metallic (body work is in very good condition overall)
Red mohair roof (replaced in 2016 by previous owner)
Wax-oiled underneath
Chassis and rear subframe are solid and have been wax treated inside and out.
New front fog lights where old ones had corroded internally
Engine
Compression tested all 4 cylinders showing between 190 - 200 PSI
New cam cover gasket and cam chain tensioner gasket
Aux belt and water pump replaced by (Toyotek Lincoln)
Coolant flushed and replaced with water pump
New NGK platinum spark plugs
K&N panel air filter
Oil and filter changed (fully synthetic Fuchs performance oil)
TTE stainless steel twin exit exhaust system
Interior
Red leather interior
Brand new genuine Toyota MR2 floor mats
Standard Toyota stereo
Wheels
Wheels powder coated BMW shadow chrome by Classic Coatings in Grantham
This was a tyre off refurbishment with all wheels rebalanced and having new valves before refitting
4 brand new tyres (Avon ZV7)
Suspension
Power steering fluid drained and renewed
New OEM shock absorbers all round
New Tein Springs
New rear anti roll bar links
Brakes
All four brake callipers refurbished by Bigg Red brakes in Worcester
Brake fluid flushed and replaced
New rear brake pads (old ones had worn unevenly due to sticking rear caliper)
Hand brake cables replaced (big job which involves removal of the interior and fuel tank).

Car is available for viewing now but I wont get a chance to refresh the MOT until May 3rd due to work commitments so I wont be able to let it go until then. Mileage will not increase in that time.
