Description
In 1992, Porsche introduced a lightweight version of the 964, with rear-wheel drive only, G50/ 10 close ratio manual gearbox, self-locking differential, 40mm lower track ready suspension with stiffer springs and adjustable stabiliser bars, called «Carrera RS».
Its base was that of the «Carrera Cup» and strongly evoked the RS and RSR models of yesteryear.
The engine was the 3. 6-liter M64 flat six, with power increased to 264PS.
The interior was «minimalist» and stripped down to essential only - no power windows or electric adjustable seats, no rear seats, no air conditioning, no cruise control, no radio (could optionally have and is the case of this) - boasted only some beautiful RECARO bucket seats.
Aluminium body panels, magnesium wheels and thinner windows in the rear and doors helped the «Carrera RS» to have a weight 155kg below the «Carrera 2».
This is a true collectors piece. In very good condition.
