EXTERIOR
This superb Carrera S is presented in Arctic Silver (92U). The paintwork is in excellent order all round and remarkably well preserved, remaining in fantastic condition throughout. There are very few stone chips to the front end with almost no signs of road rash to the rear hips. The car is lovely and straight along both sides with no unsightly dings, scratches or scuffs to any of the panels.
INTERIOR
The cabin boasts contrasting silver trim and the optional extended black leather to the dashboard and door panels. The supple upholstery remains in excellent shine-free condition throughout, with only the lightest of wear to the driver’s bolster to report. The original Porsche stereo is present, however, currently in place is a modern Pioneer stereo with Apple CarPlay for modern convenience. All the switchgear feels solid to operate and in the footwells the carpets are protected by the original leather-trimmed overmats. The rear seats also remain in fine condition.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Beneath the rear lid you’ll find the S-spec 3. 8-litre Porsche flat six, producing 350hp at 6, 600rpm, 30hp over the standard Carrera model. This particular example also boasts the desirable 6-speed manual transmission; for the driver focused, a perfect accompaniment with an intoxicating exhaust note.
The car remains in excellent mechanical condition having only ever been serviced by main dealers or specialists. The most recent work was a major service including spark plugs, drive belt and brake fluid with Eporsch at 64k miles in February 2018. In March 2019 Eporsch also fitted a valvetronic sports exhaust, which sounds fantastic.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The 911 sits on 19-inch Carrera S alloys in dark silver. The immaculately presented wheels are finished with coloured Porsche crests and are wrapped in matching Pirelli P-Zero rubber. Some recent items replaced by Eporsch in March 2019 include front suspension damper top mount bearing plates, rear suspension lower control arms, and front anti-roll bar bushes, all totalling over £2, 500. On test the brakes perform well and pull the car to a halt sharply. The brake fluid was replaced in February 2018.
HISTORY FILE
This 997 Carrera S was first registered in September 2005; it was sold through the supplying dealer Porsche Centre Leeds. The History File is complete with numerous invoices for parts and servicing, plenty of MOT certificates, and the spare key. The leather document pack is also present and correct with all manuals and booklets. The service history shows seven service inspections from both main dealers and specialists at the following intervals:
