Description
1952 Jaguar XK120
Fixed head coupe. Original right hand drive, Chassis Number 669004. This is the second fixed head coupe - right hand drive to be sold to market built on the 31st December 1952. This car was exported directly to Rhodesia in February 1952. In 1998 the car was found in poor condition in a barn in Zimbabwe. It was then repatriated back to the UK. The owner has undertaken a slow and painstakingly detailed restoration with no expense spared. Bodywork restored by Leaping Cats, paint by Brookfield, interior by Tom Hampton and assembly by Merv James (Vicarage, CMC etc) Includes a minimum of sympathetic upgrades such as rack and pinion steering, telescopic shock absorbers, louvered bonnet, bucket seats and La Mans fuel filler cap. Having covered only fourteen miles since total restoration she is like a new car and is a good underneath as she is on top ! Without doubt a concours contender.
