EXTERIOR
Looking sensational in metallic Polar Silver the bodywork exhibits a deep glossy shine with a subtle ice-blue tint. Under close examination there are very few blemishes to speak of, with almost none of the usual road rash on the rear arches or to the lower body trim. Aside from just one or two light stone chips at the front end there are no unsightly dings or scratches to be found anywhere, and the headlights are still looking nice and clear. The rear bumper sports parking sensors for added convenience.
INTERIOR
The black leather upholstery looks great against the silver paintwork and contrasting interior trim pieces. The desirable Sports seats present with only the lightest of wear to the outer bolsters and feature the Porsche crest embossed at the top. Supple leather extends to the steering wheel, dash, door cards, and rear seats that have seen very little use. The centre console and switchgear are without any marking, and the footwell carpets are unspoiled. The factory Becker CD player remains in place.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The naturally-aspirated 3. 6 launches the C4S from 0-60 in little over 5 seconds and on to 174mph. The engine bay of this example is clean and tidy having always been well maintained regardless of mileage, with fourteen Porsche/ Specialist stamps in the original service booklet.
Upon arrival at 4 Star the 911 was freshly serviced at our trusted marque specialist, Purely 9. A full inspection was also carried out, which included a bore scope investigation and check of the immediate shaft bearing (IMS) area for the new keeper’s piece of mind. The results were extremely positive with no bore score or IMS issues found. A new Sports exhaust was also fitted, which sounds great on test. Out on the road the five-speed Tiptronic transmission operates smoothly and handles the engine’s power perfectly through the gears.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The factory 18-inch Turbo alloys look fantastic in bright silver with the correct C4S centre badges; all wheels have just been refurbished to the highest standards by Lepsons and so present absolutely as new. They are shod in a matching set of Pirelli PZero tyres with at least 6mm of tread remaining at each corner. The front discs and pads were replaced just 2k miles ago and the brake fluid was changed in September last year around 500 miles ago.
HISTORY FILE
This low mileage C4S has been extremely well maintained from new. Originally supplied by Lancaster Porsche in London, the car was first registered in October 2002. There are fourteen stamps in the maintenance booklet, as detailed below. The car has just returned from a fresh service and inspection at Purely 9, our trusted 911 specialist. With a bore scope investigation and IMS check having also been carried out the C4S boasts a clean bill of health with no signs of any major bore-wear or oil leaking from the intermediate shaft bearing area. Problems with the IMS bearing are not exactly common but we have had it checked anyway for the new keeper’s piece of mind. The MOT is valid until April 2020.
