Imported from the US last year by a customer of ours for his own use, this handsome 280SL Pagoda is in good condition.
It was owned by a gentleman in Texas for thirty five years and has a recorded mileage of 66, 000 although this can not be verified.
The Mercedes has Hard and Soft tops, a very smart interior with air conditioning (not tested), a top-tint windscreen, the lovely painted and chrome hub caps and it's original Dealer wallet with books and papers. There is a copy of the original US title doc and the car is registered with the DVLA and on UK number plates.
There is some light deterioration on the bodywork, the interior is very smart, and the old girl could do with a light mechanical fettle. That said, it drives well and stops and starts as one would expect. The 2. 8, six cylinder seems smooth and powerful and the four speed gearbox changes gear and kicks down properly. Power steering is fitted.
The suspension rubbers are weary but the brakes pull up well and everything appears to work
We have priced this good looking Pagoda at a point that reflects its condition and leaves room for any improvements a new owner may wish to make.
