1951 Ford F1 Pickup
This Ford F1 pickup is rare for one reason, it is virtually 100% original except for the exhaust system and I suspect the rear box has been replaced.
The F1 has the original engine V8 Flathead and column change three-speed gearbox both are in full working order with good oil pressure.
The steering and suspension are all as original with no modifications, lowering etc.
The chassis is perfect and save for general life dents and the body is excellent. Original headlight surrounds with new RHD headlight inserts, rear indicators have been added but are reasonably period.
Mechanically the main problem is the brake system that requires refurbishing it is losing brake fluid and the hand brake cables require replacing.
All in all this a perfect basis for simple restoration to meet your specific requirements and as you are aware these vehicles in perfect condition are demanding substantial sums, and this vehicle could be made into one of the best.
