From a specification perspective this wonderful 1966 Classic Mustang Convertible ticks all the boxes but add to this the fact that it is a two-owner car and genuinely 40, 440 miles from new and then to discover on top of all this that it was supplied new in Phoenix Arizona this becomes a very special car.
53 years later, still in the dry desert heat of Arizona and with its original Sales Invoice plus lots of interesting paperwork still intact we couldn’t wait to see the Mustang, so after a short 70 mile drive over to Apache Junction we found the Mustang Convertible in a large garage under the seller’s property.
The interior is entirely original and has a wonderful patina although we have now replaced the instrument binnacle as the chrome effect had yellowed slightly. Bodily the little Muscle Car is incredibly good with one high quality refinish in its original Signal Flare Red. Inside the trunk, the original jack and tools are still present and the boot area is exceptionally clean and tidy.
Behind the Wood Rim Steering Wheel the driver is immediately immersed in the hypnotic atmosphere that only a Classic Mustang Convertible can create, just fantastic, and with the roof down maximum enjoyment is achieved in less than a few seconds!
Originally owned by Larry Duvanel of Tolleson AZ, supplied by Read Mullen Motor Company in Phoenix AZ and then Gary Fink of Mesa AZ who confirms the 40, 440 miles.
