1988 Honda CBR 750 Hurricane very rare and will be an appreciating classic in years to come.
Good opportunity to purchase this unfinished project.
Removed panels, swingarm, mono shock and years of grime before fitting back. Stripped carbs down, cleaned jets, float chamber and replaced float chamber 'O' ring seals, now no longer leaking.
Fitted new battery, fuel tank is clean with no rust inside just a small rust spot on the outside by the seat. Flushed out coolant system and the bike fired up and engine runs with no unusual sounds or smoke , it's a bit lumpy and the carbs will probably need balancing/ setting up.
Fitted new rear disc, brake pads all round, cleaned up callipers, cleaned up S/ steel Viper exhaust system, sounds great, but not too loud.
Acquired lots of spare parts and would say all the major parts are present. (see attached photo 5).
Parts are fairly easy to find as the CBR1000 was a bored out version .
Selling bike as an unfinished project/ spares or repair as I need the space for my VW van project.
