Originally a Gordon Barker sportsman’s coupe, it is believed this 12/ 4 was rebodied as an ambulance during the War, as many were due to their legendary reliability. It was rebodied and fully restored by an engineer and his wife in the early 90’s as a shooting brake in order to have room for all the family. This was carried out to a high standard, the car still being in excellent condition today. The long stroke engine is easy to start, both on the handle and with the starter motor, and the vendor states it has proved extremely reliable, completing many VAR events. Lots of period features including a delightful klaxon horn and an original “smokers hatch” window in the roof. Only for sale due to lack of space in the garage.
