LAND ROVER SERIES 2A WITH GALVANIZED CHASSIS

1966 LOW MILES HUGE HISTORY FILE DRIVE AWAY

£4999 no VAT

Ok so Land Rovers are rocketing in value and early ones are getting out of reach, here’s an affordable gem with galvanized chassis, low miles, very well presented and running like a Swiss clock ready to drive away.

Starts runs and drives very well, the petrol engine is so quite you think its stalled at tick over, all the gears select easily (in a Land Rover Series fashion) with no crunching or grinding, has amazingly good brakes and handbrake, no need to wag away with the steering wheel to keep it in a straight line, pulls well, stops well, not at all like an early Landie.

It is tax and MOT exempt, last MOT expired in May this year and its only done 357 miles since May 2018. The former long term owner used this car sparingly for the last 13 years and kept it religiously serviced and maintained and stored under cover, it drives absolutely spot on.

There’s a huge history file with MOT’s, service invoices and tax discs, invoice for the new galv chassis in 1994 (still like new), new wiring loom and an engine recon in 2014 costing over £1500. Only 4 recorded keepers on the log book, 52000 miles on the clock, which can be verified by the MOT history back 1986 with 13496 miles at that time. The service and parts receipts would take a day to read through, there are that many.

Well presented bodywork with some marks, scuffs and imperfections on close inspection, clean and tidy engine bay, all the important elec works, lights, wipers, indicators, horn all operate. 3 seats in the cab, tidy rear, all 3 doors click shut and stay shut, with no rot on the bottom rails. Chassis is absolutely solid everywhere, bulkhead is the original and has been repaired in the past.

Some none original parts fitted including a very unusual Smiths type heater in the passenger foot well and a modern 12v socket hidden in the side of the clocks binnacle. Also has free wheel hubs on the front axle, they make every day driving much easier, not original spec but a huge improvement.

Well looked after, low miles, galv chassis, good working order Series 2A, another like it will not come along next week and its VERY affordable.
