Rarely available with such superb provenance and low miles. Supplied new by Henlys of Southend on 7th June 1985 to the first keeper who retained ownership for 11 years, before passing to a family member for a further year and been in the hands of the last owner, a retired engineer for the last 22 years. The coachwork remains arrow straight, with doors closing with the reassuring distinctive click familiar to classic Jaguars. The interior breathes out the correct aroma of fresh Connolly hide, with unmarked Burr Walnut cappings still glistening, with the original factory fitted Clarion radio cassette undisturbed for over 3 decades. The option of a factory sunroof was chosen at time of order, and is still operating perfectly. The engine bay really sums this car up, immaculate corrosion free seams on the inner wings with all factory data plates and stickers remaining in place. The boot interior likewise is as close to new as one could ever expect, boasting unmarked carpeting and the correct toolkit in its original Jaguar carrying case. The complete factory supplied book pack with all its pull outs remain, with the original service book boasting 22 stamps. Both factory supplied main keys are present, as is the original RAC grille badge with integrated Jaguar logo. Both registration plates with supplying dealer logos remain intact, and remarkably this car has never had a private registration applied during its lifetime. A recent cylinder head de coke was carried out, with cylinder bores inspected, which as expected, were found to be like new. I doubt if you will find a more genuine example. If you are of the same era as myself, this remarkable example will transit you right back in time to how they used to look in the Jaguar showrooms back in Summer of 1985 when CD, s were first introduced, Simple Minds were at No 1 and The Greenpeice Warrior was sunk !
