Description
For sale here is a 1971 Jaguar E Type V12 Automatic 2+2. Finished in Bright Silver with Grey Leather interior. First sold on the 6th May 1971 to a Mr. David Emu of Haringey London who kept the car until he sold the car to Mr. Brian Weston of Little Neston Wirral on the 1st December 1979. Mr Weston kept the car until he sadly passed away and left the car to his son, he subsequently kept it till earlier this year. We have MoT’s going back to 1979 when the mileage recorded was 46, 200 all the way to 2020 when it was 49, 345, currently showing at 49, 388 so although we can’t say for sure we believe the mileage to be original and correct. Fitted with the automatic transmission option and having been updated sometime in its life to Chrome Wire Wheels. Also fitted with the quite expensive SU carburettor conversion which greatly improves the performance and reliability. Paintwork is reasonably good and panel fit is excellent, interior leather, carpets, dash, headlining are all good. Fitted with a Webasto style sunroof which is in superb condition. Chrome is good, all electrics including gauges are in working order. Mechanically sound with excellent oil pressure, transmission shifts smoothly, brakes are good. This car has sat in the owners garage for around the last 6 to 7 years, having been started periodically, as you can see it has only covered 3, 188 miles in the last 47 years, we strongly suggest that the new owner checks out and replace were necessary such things as water hoses and clamps, brake fluid and a thorough service before use.
