EXTERIOR
With its vibrant Speed Yellow paint, matching Cup 2 alloys and contrasting Club Sport decals, this rare UK-supplied example (1 of 179) has to be one of the best looking 968s around. The bodywork is wonderfully glossy with no major blemishes and only one or two small touched-in marks to report. There are very few stone chips to the front end and the lights remain crystal clear. All in all, a magnificent example still looking fresh at 83k miles.
INTERIOR
Upon entry you’re greeted by lightweight Recaro bucket seats colour-matched to the exterior, both in excellent condition. The dash, leather gear knob, and centre console are all unmarked and the steering wheel still looks new. In the footwells you’ll find tailored Porsche overmats, with spotless aluminium trims protecting the door entry sills. Towards the rear of the car the generously proportioned boot is immaculate and complete with the original luggage net and toll roll. The only non-standard items to note are a tasteful Alpine head unit and rear speakers.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Praised for its superior handling the 968 Club Sport was named ‘Performance Car of the Year’ in 1993 soon after its launch. Under the bonnet you’ll find the 4-cylinder 3-litre engine, with power transferred to the rear wheels via the smooth 6-speed gearbox. The engine bay of this example is remarkably clean and tidy with no damage, corrosion or signs of poor repair to be found. We have just had the car serviced and fully inspected for the new keeper’s piece of mind.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The 968 sits on pristine Cup 2 alloys finished in yellow. Each wheel is in perfect condition with coloured Porsche crests and no curb marking to report. The wheels are shod in matching Falken tyres, all with at least 6mm of tread remaining. The brakes are in fine condition too, bringing the car to a halt swiftly and in a straight line.
HISTORY FILE
The 968 was first registered in February 1994. Supplied new by Parkwood Porsche in Kent it is one of just 179 true Club Sports produced for the UK – a rare car indeed. The History File is complete with a raft of main dealer and specialist invoices, numerous past MOT certificates, and the leather document pouch with all manuals. The service booklet is stamped up to the current mileage of 83k, with a total of twelve service entries from both Porsche and Porsche specialists.
