Selling our shop truck as we just don’t use it as we originally intended to and it just sits in the shop gathering dust with the occasional run every other week to the shops.
For sale very rare 1968 Ford Rancher 500 GT 390 big block V8 with column shift automatic transmission, one of 710 made with this engine/ gearbox spec!
Has A\C , power brakes and power steering from new!
It was a dry state California supplied truck very solid truck no rot at all, it’s had 2 trays at some point that’s it! The outer sills are perfect with the original spot welds..
As per the marti report the truck was originally supplied in pebble beige..
It’s now believe the current colour is acapolco blue and at an educated guess it was done decades ago.
Being a dry state hot climate car the current paint is patina’d and flat as you would expect from being baked daily for years and years.
The chrome is very very good as you can see from the pics.
The engine ford (390cui) big block V8 is silky smooth and does not miss a beat.. loads of power as you would imagine and it has the noise to back it up. It’s mated to the original C6 auto transmission which is also silky smooth.
It was ordered with power steering and power brakes which work faultlessly along with the factory A/ C
Up front has a bench seat and seats 3 people including the driver.
The truck turns heads everywhere and is definitely unique compared to the more common Chevy el’caminos.
It’s a great base for a re paint or leave as is and use (which we were doing) I personally like the patina as English cars don’t get that same look over time.
It’s MOT and Tax exempt and registered on a old F reg for 1968.
It’s ready to go and have fun in, any inspection is welcome.
