My 780 Bertone Coupe was originally exported to the USA and is a 1990-built car, being in the final 300 cars manufactured by Bertone in Italy.
The original owner lived in Pennsylvania, having purchased the car from Lehman Volvo in 1991.
I spent a few years seeking out a well looked-after 780, and found this car in Florida - It had only moved there in late 2017 from PA - and I brought it to the UK in 2018.
On arrival, I swapped the USA spec lights for new-old-stock Euro headlamps and tail lights at a cost of over £1100. The USA headlamps were not great, even when new, and I prefer the Euro units anyway - So all are Euro compliant.
The car is now aligned with European Specification, as I have also installed wing-repeater indicators (instead of Volvo badges).
I have had the bonnet and boot repainted, to remove age-related marking / chips.
The only external signs of its USA-specification beginnings are the front corner indicator lamps (as I prefer the US units with in-built reflectors), though these can easily be changed for Euro units if preferred.
The under-side has been described as "better than a 3yr old UK car" - very clean. As my local Council have started gritting the roads, I have garaged the car for the winter, but am happy to tax it and demonstrate to any potential buyer.
The car is UK registered, MOT'd and fully UK road legal.
It currently has a UK dateless registration, this will be removed prior to sale.
The interior is cream leather in * very* good condition - There is no reason to believe the car has ever been smoked-in, certainly there is no sign of that and the headlining is immaculate. There is some minor sun-discolouration of the rear parcel-shelf.
I am happy to arrange to FaceTime/ Skype with any potential buyer and walk-around the car.
With the current strength of the Euro against the Pound, I am happy to assist in any export requirements (and have done so previously).
I am open to negotiation on price.
