First thing i will say to save wasting your time is if you do not have 3 grand to spend then do not read any further as it wont ever be sold for less.
I have recently decided to sell nearly all of my car collection as with about 25 cars very few get any use and i wish to address that situation.
I bought this 1. 1 Fiesta a year or so ago with the sole intention of making a Supersport replica as i wanted a SS but every one i ever saw was either a replica, a re shell or a dubious original so i though i may as well make my own and you may be in the same boat.
The car i sourced is a 1. 1L with an svo (special vehicle order) interior (a rare pattern blue cloth). It has low owners at just 3 in total ( one a lady from 1983 to 2011) and genuine 56k with old mots back to 1984 to verify. It drove really well and looks a very solid car. It has only covered a thousand miles in the last 12 years or so.
Much of the transformation has been completed ie bodykit fitted, rear spoiler fitted, spot lights fitted, bumper over riders fitted, wheels and tyres fitted, decal set fitted, black window surrounds professionally sprayed , steering wheel fitted, correct dials sourced not yet fitted, already has centre console, new front shockers fitted as was wallowy when driving.
So on that basis the jobs that i saw fit to have done (although of course the buyer may decide other options) have seats retrimmed in Carla interior trim (circa 900gbp from Aldridge trimming for front and rear seat covers all made or there is a second hand set been on ebay for ages. I was happy to have a 1. 1 as the original is only a 1. 3 and honestly the speed difference is a waste of time and if speed was your thing you will drop a zetec or likewise in it.
The bodywork is in good order too.
In the next year or so this becomes tax and mot exempt but currently has neither purely because i have been doing it at a slow pace and mot or tax never bother me anyway.
