EXTERIOR
This Gen II GT3 presents beautifully in timeless Arctic Silver, with a glossy finish and sharp metallic flake to be found on close inspection. Instantly recognisable, the sculpted exterior is fundamental to the car’s exceptional all-round performance. The prominent rear spoiler is crucial to the GT3’s incredible high-speed stability while the aerodynamic front section reduces airflow beneath the car, all ensuring greater levels of grip for a more responsive and engaging drive. This particular example maintains a fresh appearance with crystal clear headlamps and few blemishes to report.
INTERIOR
Opening the door reveals a wonderfully fresh cabin perfectly in line with the car’s low mileage of just 49k. The hardback sports seats are upholstered in soft black leather and the bolsters remain in excellent condition showing only the lightest of wear. With no unsightly marks or scratches both the centre console and dash fascia also appear in first-rate condition, and pleasingly you’ll still find the original Porsche CDR23 radio fitted. In the footwells the carpets are protected by the correct overmats, and the GT3 door sill trims are free from any damage or significant marking.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The car has been really well maintained throughout its life, with servicing carried out solely by main dealers and marque specialists. A recent 230-point checkover by Porsche Inspections - carried out within the last 1k miles - has shown the car to be in fine mechanical fettle. The 3. 6-litre Mezger engine feels particularly strong and the six-speed gearbox still operates with precision.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
Filling the arches are 18-inch Gen II GT3 alloy wheels, all presenting in perfect condition with absolutely no curb marking to report. They are shod in high quality tyres all round, with Michelin Pilot Sports up front and Pirelli P Zeros at the rear - all N rated. Between the spokes the red Porsche calipers appear in good order and show only a small amount of lacquer peel. Out on the road the brakes do a reassuringly good job of stopping the car quickly and in a straight line.
HISTORY FILE
The GT3 was first registered in September 2003; it was supplied new by Porsche Centre East London. The car boasts an excellent main dealer and specialist service history with 8 stamps in the original maintenance booklet, all accompanied by invoices detailing the work carried out.
We have just had the car inspected on arrival with us, the only item requiring attention being a faulty ABS sensor that has now been replaced. In 2018, the GT3 was subject to an extensive 230-point inspection by Porsche Inspections. The glowing report confirmed this example to be a remarkably straight car with a strong engine, comprehensive service history, and no signs of any accident damage. All in all, an excellent example.
