Whilst it will need restoring at least it wasn't parked outside in a field!
Registered in Birmingham on 1st April 1963 as 35 HOM which it still wears today!
The registration is valuable and transferable but it would be a shame to part them after all these years.
Chassis number 24107518a which makes it an early 88" Petrol Series 2a produced in December 1962 and then registered 4 months later.
These early 2a's are very similar to the Series 2 as they didn't change much for the 1st year or so.
Current V5 registration document ready to go in the new owners name.
Amazingly with some fresh fuel after 23 years of sleeping the 2. 25 petrol engine fired up and sounds good.
The chassis will need some welding in various places but is not a basket case.
The bulkhead is very good up top but will need footwells and pillar repairs as per usual.
Brakes and clutch will of course need going through after standing so long.
It is nice to see it still has it's early hardtop with no rear side windows and the desirable catflap top door and tailgate.
Freewheeling hubs fitted.
Still fitted with it correct wiper motors, flat front valance, wide sills and lots more.
It is getting harder to find Land Rovers like this as time goes on a prices rise.
This will make a superb project with a rather nice reg number.
Will be great for kids/ dogs/ logging etc!
Transport can be arranged throughout the UK
