A well-sorted example of the Ford Escort Mk I 1300cc 4-door - this example boasts a good, honest background with a local family and very low miles.
This gorgeous example was bought by the current owner for £1, 161. 72 from Taws Garages, Barnstaple when new in 1974. It was then used daily by him, driving only 500 per year, until 1994 when it was laid up and garaged. Due to a personal change in circumstance, the original owner gave the car to a relative in 1999 who held onto it until 2017 before selling it to a dealership in Yorkshire. They carried out some work to recommission the Ford before the original, and now current owner, spotted the car and decided to by it back.
The recent work carried out includes two new wings, seats (recovered), new roof lining and a respray. The only current issue is with the Fuel Indicator which is not reading correctly at the moment. Other than this, it is an excellent runner in show-ready condition!
This Ford is not based at our premises however, as with all our vehicles offered for sale, we always encourage prospective buyers to view in person where possible. The car is not based far from us and a viewing can be arranged at your convenience.
