RA Classics are pleased to offer for sale this fantastic Land Rover Series 1.
Presented in the iconic Deep Bronze Green that is synonymous with the Series 1, this Land Rover is in fantastic condition even when compared to models a fraction of its age, having received the sum of a full restoration over the last number of years. It features distinctive newly-upholstered 3-abreast seats, period-correct dials and instruments, wax-canvas soft roof and twin bench rear seats, also newly upholstered; all of which are in fabulous condition. The car also sits on period-correct steel wheels with a spare, all in matching deep-bronze green with Panther Safari tyres.
The car’s exterior is in wonderful condition with a recent paint job bringing vitality to the already very well preserved body. The 2. 0L engine has been cared for and maintained to equal standards as the vehicle’s interior and exterior, performing just as reliably and characteristically as ever and renders the car as a fantastic driver. The engine's condition is clearly evidenced in the photos, but even this fails to convey it's fabulous condition in its entirety. The chassis and undercarriage of the car is also in remarkably clean and well preserved condition, to the extent that one might easily believe that this series 1 has never even left the tarmac!
The extent to which this car has been maintained and cared for is further evidenced by the extensive accompanying history file, which contains invoices, service history, MOT history and more, dating back at least as far as the early 80’s. The ownership history is complete and goes back to the car’s original purchase in 1952, and almost accounts for every one of the very low 29, 102 miles indicated.
