1959 Morris Minor 1275 convertible (recreation)
Purchased by the previous keeper in 2006 from Morris Minor Millennium company of Mancher. The vehicle at this time had just undergone a full restoration and conversion to a convertible. Detailed photos of the rebuild are within the history file. Morris Minor Millennium company have been restoring and converting Morris minors for over 40 years so I can say with confidence the conversion has been carried out correctly..
Originally built by themselves to use as a wedding car. The engine has been changed to a 1275cc with electric ignition. The front brakes upgraded to discs.
Has been regularly mot'd with old mot certificates on file and now mot/ tax exempt. Logbook has been changed has been changed to Historic
The cylinder head was replaced 5, 000 miles ago to run on unleaded fuel. Since rebuild there's a large history file of repair/ service stacking up to over £5500 by Morris Minor company of Manchester.
Now ready for abit of tlc, but a usable classic that drives very well. Will require some welding for mot, photos of the underside included below. Now mot exempt and free road tax!. Has just been driven over 150 miles without issue!
