motodrome offer for sale this 2004/ 54 Land Rover Defender 90 TD5 County 6 seater, finished in Tonga Green metallic with techno cloth interior. .
fitted with: cold climate pack inc. heated front seats and windscreen, boost alloys with a matching set of General Grabber tyres, sidesteps, sliding side windows and alpine lights, remote alarmed central locking with immobiliser, electric front windows, bulkhead deletion with bracing bar, centre cubby box, rear step, mudflaps and adjustable towpack with ball and pintle.
Also fitted with chequerplated modesty covers and rear quarters, chrome front A bar with auxiliary lamps, alloy grille and wing vents, and radio/ CD.
However, the fun begins when you drive this one, as, shortly after the last owner bought it in 2005 (yes he’s owned it for nearly 15 years), he sent it to the well-known JE Engineering in Coventry, and had it uprated by them to JE Stage 2 tune, including stainless twin-exit exhaust, and added JE anti-roll bars too. Total cost over £3800. 00. This results in a 90 TD5 that’s massive fun to drive, which at the same time handles tidily too.
Odometer reading 121000 miles in the hands of 3 owners from new – as previously mentioned, the last owner (well-known to me and a true Defender enthusiast) has had it since 2005.
History-wise we have the original book pack including the original main dealer stamped service book, and a big folder of bills from 2005 including original purchase invoice, the JE Engineering upgrades, and bills from his local Land Rover specialist for general servicing and repairs.
Being a factory TD5 version, it nips along very quickly with even better punch from the Turbodiesel motor due to the stage 2 upgrade, and being a 2004 model it’s fitted with the later 15P engine.
Comes with MOT to mid-November 2020 and 6 months warranty too. It’s important to note that, according to the MOT database, it’s never failed an MOT due to structural corrosion.
On a fast 90-mile test, it performed superbly, and was enormous fun to drive.
