1971 MORRIS 2200 “LAND CRAB”
We are very pleased to have taken this lovely Morris 2200 in part exchange this week from an avid collector in Cumbria who purchased a lovely low mileage w126 from us.
Finished in period harvest gold with a contrasting interior trim, this is an extremely good looking car in excellent overall condition with no signs of rot/ rust either on the body or undercarriage, the underside has been professionally undersealed in the past and still looks very fresh - images/ videos to confirm as such can be provided upon request. The vehicle is in such lovely condition it will have no doubt been painted at some point in the past but remains in good order with no signs of poor filler work or sinkage in the paint.
All of the interior trim is also in excellent condition and everything works correctly although the carpets have faded slightly in a few areas as they are no doubt still the original items, a fresh set would finish this car off very nicely.
The car has been looked after very well mechanically as well as cosmetically and drives very well indeed , the previous owner was a regular on the classic car circuit and it comes with a number of rosettes won at previous shows including one for 2nd place also!
A four owner car from new, the last owner enjoyed it for the last six years, it comes with its original “passport to service” service booklet as well as a service history folder containing old mot certificates, maintenance invoices as well as evidence of a thorough rebuild of the carburettors.
It is an absolute joy to drive and there are no obvious faults that we have noted, any prospective buyer is more than welcome to inspect the car either in person or via a professional body.
These Morris 2200’s do not come up for sale very often and this one is currently the only car in the UK advertised for sale.
