First registered on 2nd April 1975, this very good example has been in the same ownership since 2007 and has been well cared for both bodily and mechanically. This car has been developed by the very enthusiastic owner into a true 'driver's car'. The engine has been uprated, to include an upgraded camshaft, tubular manifolds, K & N air filters and stainless steel sports exhaust, all giving an extra 15 BHP. The suspension has been renewed with coilover telescopics at the front and telescopics to the rear, making for superb road-holding. 4 pot calipers have been fitted to the front brakes, and a new clutch was fitted around 6, 000 miles ago. The car is fitted with electronic ignition and it starts in an instant. The result is a much quicker than standard car, with better handling and none of the overheating problems that original cars sometimes have. This car really is a lot of fun to drive - it is one of the quickest V8s I have ever driven. The wheels are original Minilites (not copies) and are well shod with big fat tyres. There is overdrive on fourth gear which makes for good cruising, the Webasto sunroof works well. The interior is original and pretty good, although the seats could probably do with some new foam. In total, the car has had only three owners, current mileage is 62, 000 (it was laid up for many years before its restoration in recent times). Comes with large history file including photos, current V5C, and will come with 12 months MOT. Also included in the sale are four original V8 type wheels and the original bonnet.
