EXTERIOR
Finished in a dazzling coat of Oyster Silver, the sculpted curves of the DB9 seem to get better with age. The metallic finish glistens with a deep flake and a hint of bronze radiating a subtle elegance.
Chrome side intakes break up the long quarter panels and draw the eye to the cars sweeping lines that run over the achingly pretty flared arches.
INTERIOR
In typical Aston Martin fashion there is a considered balance of the very best traditional material presented in a contemporary fashion. A welcome 5. 8-inch stretch of the wheelbase over the DB7 means this is the first modern Aston to offer a respectably roomy driving position, with ample adjustment for the deep buckets and beautifully trimmed leather steering wheel.
The combination of deep burgundy and walnut is classic, whilst the double stitching and aluminium details are a hint to the craftsmanship that went into the DB9’s production. Adorning the deeply supportive seats, the buttery leather still feels supple and present in excellent condition, showing far less wear than the speedometer otherwise suggests.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Presentation and performance of the 6. 0 V12 are of the highest order here, with exemplary maintenance and fastidious ownership. 50/ 50 weight distribution was the design operative, so Aston Martin have set the 444-hp V-12 well back in the engine bay. This is a clear factor in the predictability of the chassis, both at a cruise and truly rewarding when pressing on.
With a comprehensive service record the engine and gearbox are in fine fettle and operation of all driver modes is without fuss or hesitation.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 19? 10 spoke wheels show in superb order having just come back from a fresh refurbishment. Wrapped in matching Bridgestone Potenza’s all round, the contact patch is safe and secure for many miles to come. The brake discs and pads display little or no lipping, whilst the branded calipers are clean, tidy and free of corrosion.

This exquisite DB9 was first registered on 04/ 12/ 2004 at Grange of Brentwood where it also received its running in service at 997 Miles. Subsequently the car has been meticulously maintained with 14 stamps present in the original service book at the following intervals:
