Fitted with freewheel front hubs, a matching set of 4 750x16 Michelin military-spec tyres , bonnet mounted spare, mudflaps and towbar
According to the previous owner, in 2018 it underwent a comprehensive rebuild including rebuilt engine and gearbox, new clutch, and rear crossmember on an otherwise very sound chassis.
It’s just emerged from our workshop having had some fettling including removing the dash in order to sort the wipers out. My mechanic, having removed and refitted the dash, is sure it’s had either a new or fully rebuilt bulkhead fitted fairly recently too.
Odometer reading 13000 miles, although I’m pretty sure it’s gone round the clock at least once.
Being a 1973 example, it of course qualifies for both road tax and MOT exemption.

I’ve owned and driven several Series III diesel models over the years, and this one performs very well indeed – it doesn’t drive down the road like a box of bolts in loose formation!
