Austin Healey 3000 MKI BT7 (4-seater), built July 1960 is an Original UK home market RHD car as confirmed by the chassis number & heritage certificate.
The car underwent a full restoration in the early 1990’s to BMC ‘Works Rally’ specification. During the restoration, the original side change gearbox was removed and replaced with the much-improved centre change 3000 MKIII BJ8 version.
Between 2001 and 2012 the car was used extensively for classic rallying by the previous owner, including HRCR events and HERO rallies.
Acquired by the current owner in September 2012 for hill climbing and road rally use, extensive development and investment has been carried out as follows:

Complete engine rebuild in 2014, including:
Lightweight forged pistons.
DWR8 camshaft.
Lightened flywheel & uprated clutch.
Fully balanced bottom end.
Gas flowed & polished cylinderhead with competition valves.
