Description
Car born for racing, factory prepared by Ford Motorsport Switzerland delivered new in 1980 to Girolamo Capra at the 24 Hours of Mugello; where he made his debut with the drivers Girolamo Capra, Angelino Lepri and Gilena; finishing in 3rd place. Then he participated in the European touring championships, racing in the most prestigious circuits (Nurgburgring, Spa, Zolder, etc.), in numerous circuit races and also various uphill races.
In 1985 it was brought back to the road by removing only the roll-bar, fitting the standard seats and repainting it externally; maintaining the group 1 mechanics that it still currently mounts; remaining the property of Girolamo Capra, who died shortly after.
The car thus remained stationary in Angelino Lepri's garage; until September 2009 when the heirs of Capra sold it to him.
Lepri only sold it in 2019 to the current owner.
