A very special little Escort and certainly not for the faint hearted. This iconic 70s 4 door Mk2 started out as a completely original, super clean, low mileage example finished in the very period original colour of Sahara Gold with Beige interior and Brown vinyl roof. In 2016 the car was purchased by world renowned Ford engine builder Jeff Harris of Harris Performance Engines as his personal project car. Harris Performance Engines have been building hot Ford engines since the 1930s. Jeff (son of company founder Ron Harris) set about building the car into what it is today, with all work carried out to his very high standard. Once completed it was enjoyed by Jeff himself for many events and club trips. Essentially every element of the car has been upgraded or refurbished with the main change being the hot, HPE 2. 0L Pinto engine which now produces over 170bhp. Also benefiting from a fully rebuilt type 9 5 speed gearbox, Gaz adjustable suspension, banded 13inch steel wheels and much much more. The car is an absolute blast to drive and is currently running and driving perfectly. The car looks stunning with its perfectly detailed engine bay, straight panels and glossy paintwork. It also sounds fantastic with the twin Webers, headers and a full custom stainless exhaust system.
