1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Cobra Jet 351 V8 Auto. An amazing example finished in Dark Green metallic with Argent silver Mach 1 decals and paint scheme with matching Mach 1 Sports Interior Option. First registered in the UK in 1972 giving this example absolute provenance for its recorded mileage of 73, 364. Huge file of paperwork will be supplied with the car alongside its 40 Mots’ since its first issued in 1974. Factory optioned with Power Steering, front Disc Brakes, AM Radio, Ram-Air Hood and hood pins and full gauge package. Fitted with Grey/ polished rim alloy wheels.
The 1971 Mach 1 fitted with the Cobra Jet 351 V8 is regarded as THE Mach 1 Mustang to own only just pipped at the post by its Boss sibling. Both cars are rare however you will pay substantially more for a Boss making the Cobra Jet a highly desirable option. Comes with its Marti Report confirming its credentials and that it was built on the 7th of October 1970 making it one of the first 71 model year cars.
Retaining a high degree of originality and still sporting its upgraded factory interior and predominantly stock engine compartment. Clearly it has been meticulously cared for and maintained throughout its life resulting in the exceptional car on offer today. Out of the dozen or so Mach 1’s we have had in recent years this is the only one to present in this fabulous colour scheme. A great Mustang to drive and with the 1971-73 cars being the very last of the classic Mustang’s produced they are only increasing in value.
