Offered for sale is this 1984 Ford Sierra XR4i.
In our ownership, we have carried out the following work:
- New brake light switch
- Tuned/ checked injection system
- Replaced dashboard
- Replaced clutch ratchet
- Removed and painted rocker covers in correct colour
- Repaired passenger door pocket
- Repaired drivers seat
- Full service and MOT
Other recent work includes a new fuel tank, new tyres and refurbished alloys. The car comes with 2 keys and a history file containing various invoices, receipts and old MOT’s from previous owners. It has manual windows as opposed to electric, and power steering is not fitted.
It has had some remedial paintwork over the years and whilst it generally presents neatly and tidily, there are some areas of imperfection around the car in line with its age.
It’s an appealing and very useable example of an XR4i, which is now ready for a new owner to enjoy.
This vehicle is being sold by the production company, ITN, in connection with the television series ANT ANSTEAD: BORN MECHANIC currently available to watch on discovery+. It would be a condition of sale that we request the buyer appear on camera, collecting the car from our presenter Ant Anstead in mid-November, after which the car can be taken away. Viewing is welcome at our facility in Market Harborough.
