Here at Old Colonel Cars, we are lucky to have an absolutely superb, very low mileage BMW E38 7 Series. This June 1997 example is the more sought after, 740 4. 4 V8, and has covered only 28, 000 miles from new. Originally supplied into Japan, this car was perfectly cared for and maintained. It was then imported into the UK in January 2018. These E38’s look so good now and this one is stunning condition throughout. A highly specified car that has recently benefited from a very expensive upgrade to stereo / sat nav system, whilst fitting in perfectly with the interior. Now this car benefits from all the Bluetooth connections / Phone connections, up to date Sat Nav, Wifi internet, even has a reversing camera. This car drives and performs like new, such a well built, good looking car, and ideal modern classic to enjoy.

Finished in Orient Blue metallic, this paintwork has a deep all over shine, a completely solid car throughout. Obviously coming from Japan and being looked after by enthusiasts in the UK, there is no rust.
As you would expect for such a low mileage car, the interior is amazing, unworn extra quality leather throughout, deep pile carpets protected from new by 2 sets of BMW overmats. It really has a sense of quality throughout, a very special car to enjoy.
The 18 Inch BMW alloys are all in immaculate condition and fitted with matching tyres.
Engine / Gearbox / Alloys
The 4. 4 V8 sounds and performs perfectly. Plenty of power and very responsive.
The automatic / sequential gearbox again performs perfectly. It features a Sport and Sequential mode.
You will be surprised how well this car responds. Put the gearbox in Sport mode, switch the suspension to Sport mode (fitted with very rare EDC option) and you can really push this car, considering its such a large, well appointed saloon,
History
This car benefits from full service history. We have all the original manuals, an original Japan service book, a fully stamped UK service book, a folder of old MOT’s and old Service receipts, HPI clear certificate including mileage verification. It also comes with all the original keys, including the rare plastic valet key.

Mot’d until October 2021 (No advisories), last serviced at 27, 900 miles.
The E38 was from one of the best era’s for BMW. At this time they produced these E38’s, the E39’s and E46’s. Many of our customers come back from later models, with the common view that these were the high point for BMW. We have customers always looking for low mileage example from this period. This lovely example has the perfect spec and is ready to be enjoyed now. An excellent example throughout.
