This is one of only 3, 942 units produced from the phase 2 (1973/ 1976) high-end 280 CE version, in this case, with the 2, 8 litre, inline 6 cylinder and 182hp engine, automatic transmission, front and rear electric windows and original fully functional air conditioning.
First registered in Switzerland in 1974, it was imported into Portugal in 1981, where it has remained to date. With 134, 000 km, proven by the records of maintenance and periodic inspections, it has been restored and is in its original and irreproachable condition.
The models W114 (6 cylinders) / W115 (4 cylinders) were introduced in 1968 (/ 8) as a model that positions itself in the intermediate class of Mercedes. It has a timeless design by Paul Bracq. The coupé versions were introduced in the year following the launch of the saloon version, only in the 6-cylinder 2. 5 or 2. 8 petrol versions. The coupe version has a larger boot lid and suppression of the central pillars, allowing the front and rear windows to be lowered completely for a sensation similar to a cabrio with a hard top. In total, only 67, 048 coupés were produced.
