Under the current 4th ownership since new. Amazingly this Rolls Royce Silver Dawn comes with a full service history from new; the first invoices including the purchase invoice being from Joesph Cockshoot & sons of Manchester. £4, 716. 19 was paid for the car when new by one Fred Hollis Esq of Cheadle Hulme.
The current owner purchased the car 25 years ago & during his tenure has maintained the car without regard to cost. Recent large bills are on file from Frank Dales with a mahor one in 2017 for no less then £17, 080. 78 Pounds sterling. The gear box has been rebuilt & just about everything mechanical one might imagine attended to. As a result the car starts instantly & runs in silence with beautifully smooth imperceptible gear changes.
The history file coming with the car is copious to say the least including MOT certificates dating back to 1961. The car stiall carries its original paint schem of Masons Black over tudor grey with the paint being in tidy order but not new. Grey Hide, Grey Headcloth & grey carpets were specified from new & are still in the car. The leather shows patiation & some wear but would be greatly impoved by a course of hide food & a re-dye back to its original colour.
This is aparticularly solid & well cared for example with a light patina of use to the paint & interior. It drives beautifully having never been apart & wants for nothing mechanically. It is ready for immediate long distance useage.
