1949 Swallow "Gadabout" 125 cc Two Stroke Scooter , Introduced in 1946 and manufactured by "Swallow Side Cars LTD" , Heavily influenced by the American "Cushman" Scooter but the height of fashion in Post War Britain . The "Gadabout" Scooter was available to purchase in the home market for essential services. Various police forces used them as well as local authorities. Its demise was the Vespa and Lambretta and production was ceased in 1951 . Our example has been fully restored to a very high standard around 5 years ago and today presents beautifully . We have acquired it out of a private collection of motorcycles and scooters were it has been well cared for . It is in good running condition and is supplied with its V5C .
