Designed by one of the automotive greats, Marcello Gandini for Bertone, the Miura stole the show when released at the 1966 Geneva motor show and had journalists head over heals with excitement.
The ultimate production variation of the Miura, the iconic SV, was launched in 1971, offering increased performance and an improved driving experience, it’s no surprise that the SV is the most desirable of all Miura models. This Miura SV was built in the first year of production in 1971 and soon found its way to Japan, having been bought by a well respected collector. The car remained part of his large, impressive car collection until just last year, an unparalleled long term ownership of 44 years. The car presents beautifully, benefitting from an older restoration in the iconic SV colours of Rosso Corsa with the Silver sills and wheels. Inside, the sleek, low-slung cockpit is finished in Dark Grey leather.
As one can imagine, driving the Miura is an extremely special experience. The 4. 0 litre V12 engine produces an astonishing 385bhp, coupled with a 5 speed manual gearbox, you instantly find yourself poised in a low down, racing position, as intended with the first P400 design.
