Description
This is the straight six 2, 793cc engine mated to the optional extra cost five speed switchable automatic gearbox which gives the choice of Sport or Economy Mode plus a Winter Mode which allows better traction in slippery conditions.
Specification includes front fog lights, electric windows all round, electrically adjustable door mirrors, central locking with two keys, power steering, rear parking sensors and full tool kit in addition to usual jack and wheelbrace in the boot.
Audio system is detachable front Pioneer with single CD capability matched to four BMW fitted speakers two at front and two in rear.
There is a Full Service History with stamped service book (13 stamps) to 101, 002 miles in January 2011 and documentation on file thereafter confirming the previous owner's own services at the specified intervals. File additionally includes receipts for replacement items as required such as coolant hoses, thermostat and camshaft sensor.
The auto box fluid was changed at 124, 000 miles in March 2014, an often overlooked maintenance item essential for the longevity and smooth operation of the unit.
In my ownership the following has been done:-
Oil and filter change in March 2019 with front brake calipers rebuilt then and new pads fitted at 137, 000 miles.
New “Roadstone” (Nexen) tyres fitted all round in May 2020 at 137, 700 miles. Incidentally, the alloys are in good condition and unkerbed. The spare is also a full size alloy with an almost unused tyre.
Oil and filter change in February 2021 at 138, 232 miles together with new spark plugs, replacement air mass meter, cold idle valve and pre cat Lambda sensor and ECU rebuilt by specialist repairers BBA Ltd
MOT to 10th March 2022 with no advisories.
HPI check was done on change of ownerhip in January 2019 with no adverse entries.
This car drives as it should with no known defects.
Bodywork is Boston Green Metallic in good condition with just the odd stone chip and a little lacquer peel and blooming commensurate with age .
Interior is full black leather with centre armrest.
The hood has no rips or tears and is electrically operated and works perfectly in sync with the side
windows. A little of the stitching needs attention but it is leak free even in the heaviest rain
In addition to two front airbags the rear head restraints rise on impact to provide roll-over protection. The rear belts are inertia reel lap and diagonal to match the front ones. The rear seats are adult size making the car a true four seater.
In short, a well serviced, well cared for car with effortless l performance and superb handling.
