Description
THIS is, without doubt, a stunning example of a 1976 Austin Allegro 1300 SDL. I have owned quite a few Allegros in my time and this is the best I have had. I would suggest - following an inspection - that she has never been welded. Her panels are amazing and totally rot and rust free. Her floor pans are as fresh and blue as the car's exterior. The boot floor and engine bay are equally as impressive. Her mileage reading is just 42, 000 after 45 years! Super paintwork and a stunning un-marked interior - naturally enough for the 70s - also in blue.
She drives tightly and responsively with that tried and tested 1275cc engine and has the feel of a car that is perhaps just a year or two old. She has covered just 5, 000 miles in the past nine years.
Rarely do you see a mid-seventies Allegro in this sort of condition. The car is a total timewarp. Rust proofed at new, and what a survivor!
